The way we speak to our children has an impact on the way they will behave and who they become. You just have to look at yourself as an example and see how much of the things that were said to you had an impact on the person you are today.

Even though you speak to your children in a positive manner they still have the rest of society to deal with. In addition to saying uplifting words you can give the life lessons as to what expect as they grow up. This is where the problems usually lies; in our children trying to be accepted in circles outside the home.

It does not matter at what age they might be at, trying to fit into society will always be a challenge. The earlier you start training your children the easier it will be for them to learn these principles. If you want to promote positive action in your children there must be an aspect of responsibility attached to it as well.

You can involve them in some of the important things around the house. For example let’s say that you are going to buy a set of sofas for your lounge; ask them what colors they think would be nice or the style they prefer. Besides being encouraging this helps them to be confident about their opinions.

There are some definite words that you can say to your children that will bring out positive responses from them. You will be able to find words that will fit into various kinds of situations, for those times when they are in trouble, when they have done well or you just want them to do things when you say they must be done. There is a way of communicating your message through to them.
