Another frustration is switching plate numbers—if you drive a different car on weekends or rent a vehicle, swapping plates inside the menu isn’t as fast as it should be.

Before you install JomParking, verify whether your local municipal council is actually supported. The app covers areas like MBSA, MBSJ, MPSepang, and MPKJ, but many other districts remain absent. For daily commuters inside these zones, it eliminates the need for paper coupons entirely. For infrequent visitors or those outside the coverage map, the app simply won’t serve its purpose.

When you do start, I’d recommend setting a default vehicle plate immediately to cut down on repetitive steps. The interface is clean and mostly intuitive, but the app will not extend your session automatically—you must confirm the top-up yourself. That’s a small discipline requirement that prevents accidental overspend, but it also means you cannot fully “set and forget.”
