Are you about to have a baby? There are a few things you will need so you can be prepared for your baby when it comes. Nine months seems like it’s never going to end, when you want to hold your baby, but if your getting ready for him/her than time is going to get away from you.
When you get to bring the baby home, you will not forget that experience. So be prepared. Many hospitals do not let you leave the hospital if you do not have the right car seat for your baby. It does not matter whether you chose a snugride car seat or a brand that you prefer more, just be sure it is rated for an infant. Also, make sure the car seat is secure and that you know how to strap your infant in and how to take him/her out as well.
You will want to stock up on some things before the baby comes. Be sure that you have foods in the pantry or freezer that can easily be prepared. It also does not hurt to collect a few take out or delivery menus from some favorite restaurants.
The baby will need plenty of diapers, diaper cream, wipes, baby bath and shampoo. In addition, be sure that you have stocked up on necessities for your family such as toilet tissue, laundry detergent and shampoo. Time spent stocking up now will give you more time to give to your baby and to rest after the birth.
Get the nursery ready with a safe crib and take the time to put together the crib before the baby is due, so that incase the baby comes a little early, you won’t have a wonderful nursery with an unassembled crib.
Wash the baby’s clothes in some gentle laundry soap a few weeks before the baby is due. You might want to wash just a few of the newborn to three month clothes so you can exchange some for the larger sizes as the baby gets bigger.
That baby is going to take up a lot of space, so you might consider looking at some home storage solutions to give you a little more room. Also rearranging some furniture and things that take up room will help. Decide where you want everything in advance, like the rocking chair, changing table and the baby bouncing; chair, before you do you’re rearranging.
