Baby Shower Card Message Ideas

Coming up with a heartfelt message for a baby shower card is not really that difficult if you think about how you feel for the parents-to-be and about your relationship with the mom-to-be or dad-to-be. Are you a bestie or friend of the mom or dad or  of both, are you sibling of the mom or dad, grandparents-to-be, and relative.

It also helps when you know the gender of the baby or if they’re having twins, triplet or so.

You can be candid or funny with your message, you can add some anecdotes of your own or some personal insights based on your experience as parent or someone who might also be expecting.

Pregnancy is a time of excitement for expecting parents and their family, especially first timers. But, it can also be scary, especially for first time moms or parents. So, it would mean a lot to them (parents-to-be) to get some messages of encouragement, and some humor can put a smile on the face.

If you’re a friend of the mom or dad of both parents-to-be, here are some ideas for you to work around with as you write your perfect message.

IF YOU’RE A CLOSE FRIEND

If you are the mom’s bestie or of the dad or both or a relative perhaps of either and you want to express your love and support, here are some ideas that you can use as inspiration as you write your own message:

  1.   “You are going to be an awesome mom (or dad/parents). Congrats!”
  2.   “Get ready to fall inlove. From one mom to another, you will be smitten from the first time you see your little angel to forever”
  3.   “You will be surprised to know you have never and will never love another human being like you’ll love this baby”
  4.   “You thought you have prepared enough, after reading all those books and magazines and having searched online. Well, the best lessons come with time. I’m excited for you.”
  5.   “You are in for the best ride of your life babe. Remember, i’ll be there whenever you need me.
  6.   “Mommyhood sounds and looks so good on you. Congrats!” (May also be for dads)

You don’t really have to write long messages. Keep it brief but not too brief in a way that it doesn’t express what you wanted to convey. Make it sound humorous, but personal and sincere. You’ll never go wrong when you write from the heart.

Baby Shower Card Messages

This is a continuation of my previous posts on ideas for messages to write in the baby shower card.

FOR TWINS

If the mom-to-be or parents-to-be have already revealed or have mentioned in the invitation that they’re expecting twins, a triplet or perhaps more, then you can acknowledge this in your message. Here are some ideas you can work around with:

  1.   “A baby is special, but two (three or more) babies is extra special. Congratulations!”
  2.   “Double cheers, double congratulations!”
  3.   “More babies, more excitement and fun, but more trouble”
  4.   “Yipee! You now have two (three or more) reasons to cheer”
  5.   “Looking forward to meeting the little munchkins”
  6.   “Double cuteness on the way”
  7.   ‘Wow! Now you can look forward to four (six or more) arms hugging you”
  8.   “Could there be anything better than having a baby? Maybe two or three or more”
  9.   “Best things often come in pairs (or more)”
  10.   “Guess you’ll need help counting those cute little fingers. Just let me know”

FUNNY MESSAGES

Pregnancy is not easy, it can be tough especially for first time moms or parents. Sometimes it helps to have a laugh about it. If you’re close with the mom or parents-to-be and you’re sure that they’re cool with some humor, then here are some ideas:

  1.   “Congrats for being so creative and hardworking. Cannot wait to see your new project”
  2.   “Say goodbye to sleeping in ever, but hello to your little bundle of joy”
  3.   “I’m curious who the baby resembles more, can’t wait to see”
  4.   “It won’t be long till you become a stain removal expert”
  5.   “Wow! I didn’t know you’re that fond of me, thanks for naming the baby after me”

Finally, like in my previous post, just keep the message brief but heartfelt. Nothing beats a message that is sincere and comes from the heart.

Baby shower cards may also serve as a keepsake for the mom or parents-to-be to put in the baby journal, something to look back into years later as a precious memory.

Baby Shower Gift Ideas for the Mom and Baby

Baby showers are a time to celebrate the impending parenthood and for the blessing of a new life, and gifts don’t always have to be just for the baby or just to be for the moms-to-be or parents-to-be. Both the baby and the parents, especially the moms need love and care.

Here’s a list of best baby shower gifts for the mom and baby.

  1.   Portable Changing Mat

This comes in handy and is very significant, especially for first time moms and those moms who are always on the go. Busy moms have a lot of work to do, so many places to go to and a lot of people to meet. With this, she can easily change her baby’s nappy anywhere and anytime.

  2.   Stroller Organizer

This might be a bit costly for a gift, but this is one of the most useful of all baby essentials. Seasoned moms or parents know how important to have all the necessities within reach., especially moms who are always on the go.

A stroller organizer have compartments with different sizes where she can store different essentials like diapers, baby towels or wipes, and baby bottles and also her own stuff like car keys and other stuff.

  3.   Phone Holder

Mom’s, especially with a newborn baby have their hands full, and often they forget about their phone or where they placed them. A phone holder will be a great help for her where she can easily mount them on the car’s dashboard or even on the stroller, allowing her to multitask.

  4.   Diaper Caddy

This is really a life changer and a great help for moms on go. This caddy ensures that moms have everything they need wherever they go because it can conveniently store diapering essentials like diapers, wipes, portable changing mat, creams and the like.

  5.   Clothing Divider

This is actually one of the most practical baby shower gifts that are often never thought of. It may be a little pricey for a gift, but it can be used for a long time, and passed on to the next baby.

It helps mom manage the baby clothings and accesories. It has color coded dividers that can be labelled as well, so she knows where everything is whenever she needs them.

  6.   Diaper Pail

Helps moms or parents store used diapers. It can store a number of them, so she does not have to go to the trash everytime she changes the baby’s nappy.

It is also better than regular trash cans, because it can really lock its odor. It can be placed near or right next to the changing table.

Finally, these are just some of the gifts that moms or parents-to-be are sure to appreciate, and they will surely be of great help for them. Also, these baby items can be used for a long time and can even be passed on to next babies. They may be a bit pricey than other baby shower gifts, but they are practical and very useful.
